Located in Ventura CA, Career Care Institute (CCI) is a leading vocational medical training school. We provide a range of programs in popular medical career fields, including Medical Assisting, Nursing Assisting and Vocational Nursing. Allied Health / Medical Career Training:

Vocational Nursing Program:
Course Duration: 14 months / 62 weeks

This accredited program aims to prepare you for the rapidly-growing and ever-changing field of nursing and healthcare. As a licensed vocational nurse (LVN), you may find employment in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, longterm care facilities, or home health agencies.

You will cover a variety of nursing topics including:
- Anatomy & physiology
- Fundamental principles and practices of nursing
- Patient care skills
- Infection control
- Asepsis

In addition, you will receive clinical training to prepare you for real life situations.

When you successfully complete the coursework and pass the final exam, you will be prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) for licensure as a vocational nurse.


Medical Assisting Program:
Course Duration: 9 months / 36 weeks

Our Medical Assisting (MA) program is designed to prepare you for an entry-level position as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting.

Through intensive administrative, clinical and laboratory tasks, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to be able to succeed in both front-office (administrative) and back-office (clinical) settings.

Combining theory with clinical experience, you will apply what you have learned in class in our Skills Lab. On completion of the program, you will be placed in selected hospitals, medical offices, or clinics for 160 hours of externship.

You may find work in hospitals, research facilities, or in the offices of physicians, chiropractors, podiatrists, and other healthcare practitioners.


Dental Assisting Program:
Course Duration: 9 months / 36 weeks 

This comprehensive program is designed to teach you how to function efficiently in most areas of dental assisting, and to prepare you for an entry-level position in a dental office.

You will learn how to perform front office work, basic record maintenance, dental x-rays, and assist with the administering of anesthetics, among other responsibilities.

Often the face of the office, dental assistants work closely with patients to teach them proper oral health care, help them feel comfortable, and prepare them for their procedure.

After successfully graduating and completing 6 months of experience, you will be eligible to apply for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) written, practical and law and ethics exam.


- Limited X-Ray Tech Program:
Course Duration: 10-11 months / 40 weeks

An X-ray technician produce radiographs of parts of a patient’s body for a doctor to analyze.

In our Limited Permit X-ray Technician (LXT) program, you are trained to perform the radiographic procedures and ancillary medical procedures commonly needed in physicians’ offices, outpatient clinics, and ambulatory care centers.

Our accredited program prepares you to take the California State Examination in three limited permit categories: Chest, extremities, and torso skeletal.

If your position requires that you do mostly administrative work, a high school diploma may be sufficient. However, if you want a successful career as a chiropractic assistant in California, you usually need to earn a relevant postsecondary qualification or pursue certification.

The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB) offers the Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant credential if you hold a high school diploma, and have completed 24 hours of postsecondary education and an exam.

In addition, some employers require work experience as well as typing skills.

As a chiropractic assistant, you are often the first point of contact for the patient. You answer the phone, set up appointments, facilitates payment, and maintains patient records.

To maximize staff time during office hours, your aim is to help manage an efficient flow of patients. You need excellent telephone skills and work with existing and new patients to help to arrange appointments.

Chiropractic clinical assistants may work closely with doctors and patients during examinations and treatments. You may need to assist the doctor in performing chiropractic patient therapy and rehabilitation techniques.
