The credits you earn during the period of exchange will be transferred back to your home university, as part of your academic programme.

Örebro University is one of the fastest growing universities in Sweden. We have 16,000 students and 1,200 staff. The university provides education and research in humanities, law, social science, science, technology, health care, medicine, education, music and sport science. The university offers 800 courses, 60 undergraduate programmes and 30 postgraduate programmes. Situated at the very heart of Sweden, Örebro is a dynamic and vibrant town close by the lake Hjälmaren. Its prime location with Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo within easy reach makes it an ideal place to be. Most people are pleasantly surprised by Örebro when they visit the town for the first time. Not only are they taken with its beauty, with its old-time town centre, the medieval castle on its island in the river Svartån, but also with its city pulse, entertainment, shopping, musical scene and culture.

With approximately 135,000 inhabitants, Örebro is Sweden's seventh largest town. It is Sweden's demographic centre, and 70% of all Swedes live within 300 km of Örebro. It is big enough for a wide range of choice in most areas, but small enough for distances to be short. When you visit the town centre you will find almost everything within walking range, and in the surrounding area you will find magnificent scenery, beautiful wooden towns and two of Sweden's largest lakes.

Our campus, situated three kilometres from the town centre, is also host to a selection of cafés and restaurants as well as to a large sports complex with a state-of-the-art workout centre. What is more, the many nationalities represented by students and staff lend an international flavour to our campus. The campus is like a small town – in addition to teaching facilities there are cafés, restaurants and housing. The area has expanded rapidly over the past years. Today there are 11 buildings on campus.
