Learning Dutch with Richard van Egdom offers intensive Dutch language immersion courses at Averbode abbey in Belgium. Courses are designed to help you to learn Dutch fast, in an efficient and nevertheless relaxed way. These one-on-one immersion intensives are designed for the higher educated only, executive managers, diplomats, civil servants, professors and other who need to learn Dutch up to A2, B1, B2 level or higher in the shortest possible time. Private one-to-one 'learn Dutch retreats', are residential, held in a pleasant quiet countryside propice to relaxed and intensive learning. Weekend courses as well as 5, 7 or 9-day intensives.

All our programs are fully tailored to suit your individual needs. Immersion = from the beginning Richard mainly/only speaks Dutch. You learn the Dutch you need. In the 7-day intensive standard program - 6 one to one Dutch lessons a day + 3 hours of personal work + 3 hours of extra conversation - you progress 1 to 2 levels on the European Language proficiency Scale. Starting from scratch most students are level A2 at the European Proficiency scale by the end of their 7-days intensive.

You get the Dutch vocabulary and proficiency you are looking for, learning at your pace, as fast and efficiently as you can. After only 1 week full immersion with Richard, students are able to understand, speak and communicate fluently in Dutch.
