The BSN Language Centre is the dedicated language centre of The British School in The Netherlands. We provide a range of English language courses from beginner to advanced levels, serving young learners ages 5-16. Our range of courses for children & teenagers includes General English for children (from Starter to Flyer level, the Cambridge English defined levels), English language clubs on Saturdays / weekends, and Summer English courses for children & teenagers. We also offer comprehensive English courses for adults.

English Language Programmes for Children & Teenagers:
For Basic Beginner, Intermediate to Advanced Learners
• General English Classes for Children (ages 5-12)
Any child age 9 or older learning English as an additional, second or foreign language can register for one our English for Children courses on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons.
All our lessons have a good balance between learning and fun and focus on developing speaking and listening skills as well as reading and writing.
• English for Teenagers (ages 13-17)
We provide English lessons on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings specifically for teenage language learners from 13-17 years of age.
Our aim is for children and teenagers to enjoy learning English, to feel more confident with the language and to be more prepared for how they will use English in their future.
• Satuday Morning English Club (ages 7-10)
We also provide a Saturday morning club with activities which are suitable for children from ages 7-10. Your child will enjoy fun activities ranging from cooking to arts and crafts and (outdoor) activities.
• Private English Lessons (ages 5-16)
Our tailor-made programmes and flexible schedule focus on your child’s individual needs. Private lessons can take place either at the BSN Language Centre, or in your home.
Lessons are offered at a minimum of 10 hours and a duration of 1.5 hours per lesson.
• Summer English School (for ages 5-16)
This is an activity-filled 2-week Summer English camp in July / August for kids and teens aged 5-16 years old. They learn English and participate in fun activities and sports for 1-2 weeks.
We recommend that children participate in both weeks, although it is possible for children to attend only Week 1 or Week 2.

Kickstart School, The Hague

Kickstart School is a language school in The Hague (Den Haag) in the Netherlands that provides English and Dutch language courses. Our school is located at Laan Copes van Cattenburch 86 in a beautiful 19th century building with spacious classrooms. It is easy to reach by public transport. Our English courses are available for students from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced level and include IELTS exam preparation, business English and private English lessons for individuals / groups. Private tuition can take place at your office or home, or at our school and class content can be completely customized according to your needs.
The emphasis in our English courses is on verbal communication, though reading and writing is also covered. The lessons are in English only and are taught by experienced and fully qualified (e.g. Cambridge CELTA) teachers. Courses are normally 24 hours in duration, usually consisting of 12 sessions of 2 hours, or 8 sessions of 3 hours. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation programme is 35 hours in duration. At the end of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance if you have attended at least 80% of the programme.
