Pre-Intermediate to Advanced Level English Language Courses:
Before starting a course, students take a placement test to establish their level of English. You will be able to discuss what type of programme will suit you best, depending on your level of English and other commitments.

At the Caledonian Language School, from September to June, we offer English courses at a variety of levels, from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced. You can study English full-time during the day, or take a part-time English course in the evening. You can take a General English course, or prepare for an examination such as Cambridge First Certificate or IELTS.

In July and August, we offer shorter courses with flexible start and finish dates, allowing students to experience Edinburgh for 2-3 weeks or more and improve their English at the same time. The aim of these courses is to enhance the language that students already have and make them more active users of English.
