Bhejane Nature Training:
Bhejane Nature Training is based in Northern KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), a province of South Africa. Bhejane Nature Training camps are situated in the Zululand and Maputaland regions of KwaZulu Natal South Africa, an area where the rich diversity of habitats is one of the chief attractions. These diverse reserves of Zululand and the Elephant Coast include reserves such as the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, Tembe Elephant Park, Hluhluwe-Umfolozi and Ndumo Game Reserve. Our base camp is situated in False Bay in the south-west of South Africa, bordering the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park with an unbelievable biodiversity. The camp itself is built within a small patch of sand forest which on its own is an amazing site but with all the little things like birds and insects and reptiles.
The area directly surrounding us is known as the Umkhanyakude District - this refers to the abundance of Fever Trees in the area. The Zulu name translates as "standing out from the rest" and is therefore a suitable home for our college.
This is our logo. It consists of a spear with a black rhino and a turtle behind it. The spear is meant to represent the protection of the rhino and the turtle; the thought behind it is that we as field guides and marine guides have the responsibility of protecting, not only the rhino and turtle but everything in nature to preserve it for our future generations.
