Spanish Courses in Galicia, Northern Spain

Melibea - Spanish Language & Culture Courses:
Melibea is a Spanish language learning organization dedicated to the promotion of the Spanish language and culture. We provide intensive, intermediate-level, 2-week programmes of Spanish language and culture to students from around the world ages 18+. Our Spanish language and culture courses take place in La Coruña in north-west Spain (Summer) and in Sevilla in south-west Spain (Fall). Students receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.

Spanish Language and Culture Courses:
For international students with an intermediate level of Spanish

• Our programmes are immersion courses of 40 hours of study and practice per week, designed for students of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) who desire to progress quickly in their command of the Spanish language, and want to dedicate their time in Spain to take a closer look at the Spanish society and culture.

• Each course has a limited student size of 8 to 10 people, so each of our students receives a close attention and a personalizad dedication from our team.

• The program is offered to internacional students with an Intermediate level of Spanish, equivalent to the levels B1 (Intermediate) and B2 (Intermediate high), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages 

• Our courses have a duration of two weeks, and are open to students aged 18 to 99 years old. 

• Our students will attend classes of Spanish language and culture (20 hours per week) in the mornings at the Centro de Linguas (Language Center) of the University of La Coruña, taught by accredited and experienced teachers from this prestigious university in the north of Spain. 

• In the afternoonn, our students will continue the program with their individual conversation classes (5 hours per week), and will participate in a program of cultural, social and sports activities aimed at achieving our students´ integration in the real Spanish society of today, managed and coordinated by our team. 



Modern Teaching Methodology:
• All the professors are fully trained to the highest academic level, and the quality of the program is excellent.

• The classes will take place at the language center in the morning, four hours per day (with short breaks for rest & coffee).  The classes will be destined exclusively for the students from our group, with a maximum size of 10 students.

• The classes are given using a modern and  enjoyable metholodogy, focusing in the areas of Spanish Language, Oral Communication and Spanish Culture and Civilization.

• Our students will enjoy a young college atmosphere surrounded by local Spanish students, it´s a great opportunity to begin to learn, to listen, to get the best out of the Spanish society and get to meet local people!

• Our integration program is prepared keeping in mind the interests and needs of each of our students. Melibea organizes its activities seeking an integration of our students in the current Spanish society, whether directly or in collaboration with several local social, cultural and sports.


Activities & Excursions:
• Our students participate in three types of activities: sports, cultural and social.  In Melibea our team designs the integration program for each of our students looking for an equilibrium of those activities with the objective of making the students learning experience effective and fun.

• We will also go on a 1-day trip to Santiago de Compostela, declared World´s Cultural Heritage site, a city key in the history of Spain; we will visit its Catedral and some other relevant places.  We shall also visit the best museums and cultural entities of interest.  We will also have some time to enjoy the area´s wonderful beaches, considered some of the best in Spain. 

• Our students will also have some free time, when finishing the evenings´activities.  The only free day is Sunday, and several optional activities will be offered (not included in the cost of the course), adapted to the interests of our students.
