LUTECE LANGUE is a small French language school located in the center of Paris at Châtelet, where students can learn French in an informal, friendly but professional atmosphere. Since 1997, we have been offering intensive & extensive French language courses in small groups of 2-7 students year-round.
Learning French with LUTECE LANGUE means immersing yourself in a real French-speaking environment and rich French history and culture. Our French study abroad program is designed to maximize your practical communication ability in French, focusing on conversation.

Our primary aim is to give our students the best environment and support so that they can learn to speak French with confidence and succeed in managing communication in French in various daily and professional situations.
Learning French is not limited to the activities in class. LUTECE LANGUE provides students with various opportunities to practice French and experience French culture.
- FREE guided conversation workshops:
Every week, LUTECE LANGUE offers conversation workshops for free. There are two groups,
Beginner / elementary & intermediate/advance and the workshops are guided by a teacher.
- Visits in Paris:
There are many interesting sites and neighbourhoods around LUTECE LANGUE: Centre Pompidou, Marais, Les Halles, Hôtel de Ville, Ile St Louis, Notre Dame, St Germain, Opéra, Louvre, Montmartre, etc.. Guided by a teacher, you will have a discovery and deeper understanding of rich French history and culture.
- LUTECE Tea Time:
The school offers snacks and drinks every Tuesday morning. It is a good chance to chat with other students. Coffee and tea are served free at LUTECE so that you can learn French in a relaxed atmosphere.
- School party:
The French celebrate and eat "Galette des Rois" (almond pastry pie)” in January and “Crêpes” in February, and so do we. International parties are also regularly organized.
LUTECE LANGUE has carefully selected different types of quality accommodation in Paris and can arrange one of them for you upon request. We also offer you a personal service in case you need support during your stay in Paris.
Our French language school is located in the very center of Paris and all the accommodation that we offer is accessible within 30 min. by bus/metro/foot. You can arrive and leave any day you like. Possible options include :
- Homestay with French Family in Paris
This is the best option for immersing yourself in a French environment and practicing French conversation during your stay in France! Learning French is not limited to the school lessons. Staying with a French family gives you a great opportunity to experience interactive, real life communication in French and to understand the French people and their culture. Note that dinner is the most important meal for the French and the best chance to talk with a family.
- International Residence Hall
This is a good option if you prefer independence and the opportunity to meet others. For short stays only. Rooms are available in residence halls located in Paris 12th (Porte de Vincennes) and 13th (Porte d’Italie). Lunch and dinner are available at the cafeteria. Linens and towels are supplied. Cité Universitaire is open only July & August.
