California Institute of Jewelry Training, Sacramento:
California Institute of Jewelry Training (CIJT) is located in Carmichael, a suburb of Sacramento CA. Students from all over the world come to CIJT to learn the skills and art of jewelry making, gemology, and appraising. The Jewelry Arts curriculum of CIJT is exceptional, and is a comprehensive, hands on program with intense individual instruction, testing and state of the art equipment. We have developed these programs to provide a thorough knowledge of metal art, jewelry design and gemstones to our students.

Starting on your first day, you are immersed in the language, tools and environment of the jeweler’s bench. The instruction is intensive and self-directed with the supervision of the full time instructors. The classroom setting replicates a traditional jeweler’s setting. You will have your designated bench and tools and receive hands-on training comparable to the real world. There is the added benefit of studying with students who have the same goals and interests in a professional setting.

Our Teachers:
Jewelry making and design is one of the oldest, most rewarding and respected of crafts. The majority of our instructors are full time staff personnel. All of our instructors have real world experience in manufacturing, retail and design and they hold teacher certification with the State of California. They represent over 150 years in the in industry and include a Graduate Gemologist of GIA and an F.G.A. member of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

Job Development:
We assist in job development for those graduates who request this service. We receive numerous requests for our students. Our graduates are highly sought after in a very competitive jeweler job market and their employers report that they possess strong, basic skills, great attitudes and they are eager to learn more.

- CIJT are authorized by the Bureau of Private Post Secondary Education for the State of California #3401811. CIJT is the first active Allied Teaching Center and Allied Gem Tutorial Center in the USA, for the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. We offer a full FGA gemology program providing a full range of education for the jewelry industry professionals.

- The successful completion of our program provides graduates with diplomas and certificates in Jewelry Repair, Jewelry Arts, and Advanced Jewelry Arts and prepares you for testing for JA Bench Certification. You can enroll with absolutely no experience and expect to receive a full well rounded education. CIJT is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students, and is fully dedicated to the educating and well-being of each and every student.
