The College of English Language (CEL) is conveniently located in downtown Santa Monica in the Greater Los Angeles Area, (northwest of Los Angeles and just 20 minutes drive from Los Angeles International Airport), along the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. The school is just 3 blocks (300m) from the beach and half a block from the famous Third Street Promenade.
Santa Monica speaks for itself. It is greater Los Angeles’ most popular place to live, and due to its seaside location it offers some of Southern California’s finest beaches and entertainment. It is only a short drive to the neighboring attractions of the region. Santa Monica is a beach city with all of the culture, events and comforts of an active metropolis.

One of the unique advantages of Santa Monica is the possibility to walk most of the city without using transportation.
From the school you can walk to the following places:

- Santa Monica Place (one of California’s most modern shopping malls) for shopping

- Historic Route 66, which starts right here in Santa Monica

- Nearby famous attractions in and around Los Angeles like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, Universal Studios and Disneyland can be reached by bus within 30 – 60 minutes.
The school is on the top level of a three-story office building and has plenty of natural light with windows looking over Wilshire Blvd. and downtown Santa Monica. Our premises are new and modern. All of our classrooms are air-conditioned and have high speed internet access as well as free wireless internet access. You can relax in our student lounge area and enjoy complimentary daily newspapers. Here you can also check our activity calendar and the information board on local events and entertainment going on in and around Santa Monica or Greater Los Angeles.
