A member country of the European Union (EU), Malta consists of an a group of islands situated centrally in the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated approximately 93 km south of Italy. English is one of the two official languages of Malta (the other being Maltese).
This makes Malta ideal for those wanting to learn English in a highly-popular tourist destination, especially as part of a wonderful holiday experience.
Malta has a warm climate, fine beaches and many sites of historical interest, including nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, most prominently the Megalithic Temples which are the oldest free-standing structures in the world. The island of Gozo is part of the Republic of Malta and lies approximately 6 km northwest of the nearest point of Malta.
Malta International Airport serves the Maltese Islands.
English Homestay Language Courses:
All our English courses include plenty of conversation and activities and excursions. Your English will improve more quickly with structured one to one classes and plenty of speaking and listening practice.
Our teachers are very experienced and caring and ready to improve your written and spoken English and you will have plenty of opportunity to practice both listening and talking at meals and during the evening. We can also arrange for you to enjoy your favourite sport or hobby while you are here - in English of course.

Founded in 1995, ECS Scotland is a family run, British Council accredited English language training centre located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. Specialising in small group and 1-to-1 training to professional adults, ECS Scotland offers a variety of tailor made courses starting any Monday of the year.Combination Courses combine 15 hours of General English in a small group with a maximum of 5 students and 5, 10 or 15 hours of 1-to-1 tuition, focusing on your specific language needs. The school in located in Kappara in the limits of Sliema, San Gwann, Paceville, St. Julian's area. The building itself is spacious, having bright rooms, and is highly finished. The school can accommodate 100 students per week and can also extend to a further 150 students per week in summer. The Language Centre is just 20 minutes walking distance from the Strand - Sliema, with accommodation, shopping, banking, recreational and other facilities nearby.
