ISEG - School Of Economics And Management:
The ISEG School of Economics and Management (Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão) is part of the Technical University of Lisbon (Universidade Técnica de Lisboa – UTL). ISEG's origins date back to 1759 and contributes to the modernisation and development of Portugal by training future economists and managers. The objectives of this school include the promotion of education, culture, research and consulting, as well as nurturing exchange and co-operation at both national and international levels. There are currently 3000 undergraduate students enrolled in the degrees of Economics, Business, Finance, and Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management. In addition ISEG offers a wide variety of graduate programmes in Economics and Management; 900 students are currently enrolled in Masters and PhD degree courses.

Undergraduate Courses
ISEG offers 5 undergraduate degrees: Economics, Management, Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management, Finance, and Sports Management (run in conjunction with the Faculty of Human Kinetics, Technical University of Lisbon).

These degrees are specialized in various areas and provide students with a vast range of study options in the economic and business sciences. The undergraduate degree in Economics offers a solid foundation for anyone wishing to become involved in the real economic world while the undergraduate degree in Management provides a comprehensive base for future administrative managers. The undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management aims to form a new group of graduates with basic training in Economics and Management combined with a solid background in Mathematics, specifically in the areas of Statistics, Econometrics, and Operations Research. The degree in Finance aims to enable its graduates to pursue a career in finance, mainly in the areas of financial markets and their parallel activities (banks, insurance companies and business in general) as well as in the economic activities of the state.

The Masters degree is awarded after the presentation and assessment of a dissertation.
