In world-famous CHAMONIX (all year round) and the rural market town of MENS, just South of Grenoble (June-October).We provide the stimulating, friendly and professional environment which allows you to develop your linguistic ability.
Both our locations offer a wide range of outdoor activities (in French !) to compliment and reinforce your studies.
Intensive courses:
CHAMONIX: One-to-one intensive courses in Chamonix.
INTENSIVE FRENCH: Our intensive courses are high-quality. A typical program is a 5-day course. You study 3hrs a day; your afternoons (or mornings) are free for you to ski, snowboard, walk, play golf or tennis, or relax. The evenings are for you to test your new language skills and confidence in the many different restaurants and bars in bustling Chamonix. These intensive French courses are available all year round. "French & Ski", in Chamonix is our most popular course.
BUSINESS FRENCH: We also offer highly intensive French business courses in Chamonix which focus on language for communication and on key aspects of French social and business cultures. These one-to-one courses are very demanding and very effective, with 45 hours a week of structured language use.
Morning lessons are followed by lunch with your teacher and then activities of your choice with a French professional instructor take up the afternoons, giving a total of 45 hours of 1:1 intensive French language use. These afternoon activities are an essential part of your course.
Afternoon activity options (depending on the time of year and weather) include: golf, off-piste skiing, ice-climbing, wine-tasting, paragliding, walking or snowshoeing, tennis or cross-country skiing, and mountain-biking.
INDEPENDENT FRENCH: We can help you find accommodation; an apartment, chalet or gite for example, and provide a teacher.
Immersion courses:
MENS (just South of Grenoble): One-to-one immersion courses in MENS.
MENS is the market town for the Trieves; a wonderful plateau of rolling farmland and forests surrounded by the mountains of the Vercors and the Ecrins in south-east France. This is real France where you are unlikely to hear English spoken, 40min south of Grenoble and 2 hrs south of Lyon.
Choose from:
* a Farm guest house, dining with other French guests round the large farmhouse table.
* Homestay - living and eating with a local family.
* Family Summer School, as a private course for all your family, in a lovely rural setting.
Courses in pottery, felt-making, watercolour painting, painting furniture, organic cookery, medicinal plants and “green” construction techniques are all possible: all in French!
Popular sports and activities include walking, mountain biking, windsurfing & kite surfing, horse riding and paragliding. Courses in these sports are also available.
Immersion courses - Prefaucon Farm:
Prefaucon farm offers a communal farmhouse evening meal with your hosts and other French guests. A charming rural setting and a working farm with 100 ewes and their own vegetable gardens.
A great base for our private Summer Schools with other children to play with and French guests to talk to.
Immersion courses - Homestay:
Here you stay with a local family, discuss life & politics and farming and 'Europe', and enjoy the atmosphere and live music in the cafés.
The Trieves Plateau is home to France's most important "green" centre - Terre Vivante - and the ethos of organic farming and green building permeate the region. Why not time your ourse to include the "Foire Bio"; the annual "green" fair of the Trieves which takes place at the end of September every year.

LiL ‘Langues is a language center in Lille, northern France, that specializes in teaching French to foreign students.Situated in the heart of the city (2.5 hours north of Paris), we provide a wide range of beginner to advanced level French classes to students from around the world.

olala! French courses in Chamonix. Françoise Rey-Franco is a French tutor in Chamonix in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France offering French courses to students from around the world. I offer "tête-à-tête" (intensive) and "face à face" (extensive) French classes. Both are totally "tailor-made" to your individual needs and requirements.My aim is to help you to feel comfortable in French society. I teach students of all ages and levels - adults, teenagers or children. You can take private lessons or classes in very small groups. I want you to be as happy to learn as I am happy to teach. We work together as a team.
I never forget that the main goal of learning a new language is communication. I respect the recommandation of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages) which describes what a learner, at each level, is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing. Oral communication is a priority. It doesn't mean that we ignore the grammar!
So that you can be completely independent, I also offer a self-learning program on the Internet which means you can continue to learn and train anywhere, whenever you want.
