We provide a range of beginner to advanced level Mandarin Chinese classes, from Pre-K to adult. Courses include General Chinese classes, Chinese exam preparation (SAT & HSK tests), after-school enrichment programs, and online Chinese classes.

Course contents include learning Chinese characters, phrases, and sentences; conversations; Chinese grammar; listening and reading comprehension practices; speaking exercises; and the Pinyin system ((where the Chinese language is explained through the orthodox alphabet).

Its founding principle is to build a language school that can commit to and focus on students' Chinese language education so that its graduates truly gain solid language skills. Hua Xia Northern Chinese School is a non-profit organization registered in the state of New Jersey and the birthplace of the whole Huaxia Chinese School system now consisting of 19 branches spreading over New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1926 in Manhatten, New York by a group of American and Chinese educators, China Institute in America is the oldest educational and cultural organization in the United States focused on advancing a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens our global community. China Institute offers Mandarin language immersion programs designed for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school students.

For students with little or no prior background in Mandarin, the Institute also offers a six-week long Mandarin Chinese Summer Immersion Academy in New York City.
