Learn French in Seattle, founded in 1998 by Veronique Savoye, is a French tutoring service offering French Language instruction in Woodinville, WA, and several other locations on Seattle's Eastside. After an initial evaluation session, I will recommend a customized program based on your experience, your goals, and your learning style. We will not focus so much on levels (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Rather, we will focus in two areas: on communicating verbally, and in writing; and on understanding, and being understood. We will use a variety of activities and materials to avoid routine, and will cover topics you are interested in.

Weekly 1.5 hour sessions are strongly recommended. A typical private session includes at least 30 minutes of conversation, followed by some grammar (to guarantee a strong foundation). The last part of the session focuses on the students’ individual needs: Verb conjugation, speaking, reading or writing skills.
Private French Instruction:
One to One, learn at your own pace.
Semi-Private French Instruction:
2 to 3 participants, perfect for co-workers.

With a minimum of 4 students with the same goals and similar levels.

At Washington Academy of Languages (WAL) based in downtown Seatte, we provide Arabic programs for beginner to advanced levels. We will teach you the basics of Arabic and guide you along your path of mastering your chosen language. The linguistic situation in the Arab world is unique. The spoken and written languages are not only quite different from one another, but the spoken language also varies widely from one region to another. The literary language (Modern Standard Arabic or al-fuSHaa) is uniform across the Arabic speaking world from Morocco in the West to the borders of Iran in the east, and from Lebanon in the North to the Sudan in the South. However, the spoken language changes from country to country, and even from city to city. Our courses are designed to teach a form of Arabic called Formal Spoken Arabic (also known as "Educated Spoken Arabic," "Inter-Arabic," and "Middle Arabic"), which represents a blend of the major urban colloquial forms.
