Amigos de las Americas:
Based in New York City, Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) is an international, not-for-profit organization that provides summer abroad, service learning programs for high school and college students. Our program empowers young adults to grow as leaders and increase their multi-cultural understanding through training and community service projects in Latin American countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and more.
Summer Abroad Volunteer Programs (6-8 weeks) for High School & College Students:
AMIGOS gives young people an extraordinary opportunity to rise to the challenge of independently managing great responsibility within multicultural settings. Extensive training programs teach youth valuable skills to foster sustainable community improvements. AMIGOS Volunteers immerse themselves in the lives of their host communities and truly experience collaborative development work.
Teenagers and young adults from diverse backgrounds work successfully with host communities and partner agencies to address health and education priorities in these countries. Every year our volunteers spend six to eight weeks in a host country working on different public service projects. This coming summer, our volunteers will live and work in several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Paraguay.

Located in Westbury, Long Island, New York, Spanish All Year is a dedicated language center that promotes Spanish language and culture with a range of fun courses that combine language learning with literature, art, dance & cooking.We serve families with babies from 12 months to age 12, as well as adults. As part of our Spanish full immersion programs for children, we offer parent-child classes, private tuition, Spanish nursery and preschool courses.
In our full immersion Spanish preschool, we teach the language through active learning, individualized attention and cultural themes. We also teach Flamenco and promote all kinds of Latin dancing.
We use music, dance, games, drama and a variety of exciting activities so children are engaged in meaningful situations where language is real.

El Taller Latino Americano, (The Latin American Workshop) is a non-profit cultural arts center on Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York - a space alive with color, sound, movement, and creativity - music, art and language converge to educate and entertain. Hi-New-York offers English language courses for kids, teens and adults in the heart of New York City's Midtown East (close to Rockefeller Center Station and Grand Central Terminal). Our English language programs for children, teens and adults are offered year-round in seasonal sessions. All courses are led by native English-speaking teachers, assistants and workshop leaders, and we build our English lessons into what the students do each day, using the Cambridge Exams for Young Learners as a framework.
