Amigos de las Americas:
Based in New York City, Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) is an international, not-for-profit organization that provides summer abroad, service learning programs for high school and college students. Our program empowers young adults to grow as leaders and increase their multi-cultural understanding through training and community service projects in Latin American countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and more.

About AMIGOS NYC:
Since its founding in 1965, more than 20,000 high school and college-age students have served as AMIGOS Volunteers. The New York Chapter was founded in 2002 to provide the Amigos opportunity to students living in the New York City area. Throughout the school year, the New York CIty Chapter prepares its members for their Latin America experiences through training in cross-cultural sensitivity, networking, technical skills, personal health & safety, and the culture of Latin America.

Spanish All Year, Long Island
Courses / Programs
Located in Westbury, Long Island, New York, Spanish All Year is a dedicated language center that promotes Spanish language and culture with a range of fun courses that combine language learning with literature, art, dance & cooking.We serve families with babies from 12 months to age 12, as well as adults. As part of our Spanish full immersion programs for children, we offer parent-child classes, private tuition, Spanish nursery and preschool courses.
In our full immersion Spanish preschool, we teach the language through active learning, individualized attention and cultural themes. We also teach Flamenco and promote all kinds of Latin dancing.
We use music, dance, games, drama and a variety of exciting activities so children are engaged in meaningful situations where language is real.
We also provide a language and culture after-school program where children come and enjoy four different workshops and have fun, learn and develop their language skills by doing hands-on activities.

ABC Languages - Bronx, Westchester County NY & Southern CT
Courses / Programs
• Give your child or teenager the opportunity to learn English at their own pace. ABC Languages provides private and semi-private ESL lessons to kids, teens and adult learners throughout Westchester County NY and Southern Connecticut.• Our experienced tutors are available 7 days a week and will come to your home, office or another agreed location. Choose the schedule that best suits you and learn English at your own pace!
• Whether you are a total beginner or at a more advanced level, your teacher will create a customized curriculum that best suits your learning needs.
• All of our English teachers have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and are native or near-native speakers who are carefully hand-selected.
• One-on-one or small group instruction means more practice time and the ability to interact authentically with your teacher as you practice the material through discussion, role play and other activities that promote gaining practical skills.

El Taller Latino Americano, (The Latin American Workshop) is a non-profit cultural arts center on Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York - a space alive with color, sound, movement, and creativity - music, art and language converge to educate and entertain. We offer a year-round after-school Spanish language immersion program for children ages 4 to 13 years, covering thematic units that include games, short stories, songs (including songs written by our founder for bilingual Sesame Street episodes), drama, dance, puppetry, and music with an emphasis on auditory learning.
El Taller's expert team of teachers are also professional artists and musicians who fuse El Taller's 30-year-strong language method with unique games and activities that will excite and enrich your child. China Institute, New York
Courses / Programs
Founded in 1926 in Manhatten, New York by a group of American and Chinese educators, China Institute in America is the oldest educational and cultural organization in the United States focused on advancing a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens our global community. China Institute offers Mandarin language immersion programs designed for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school students. For students with little or no prior background in Mandarin, the Institute also offers a six-week long Mandarin Chinese Summer Immersion Academy in New York City. The program offers scholarships directed especially at disadvantaged youth whose families may not be able to provide them with access to the opportunity to learn Mandarin. For students with a substantial prior background in Mandarin, China Institute offers a seven-week intensive Chinese language program in Beijing, China. The program provides students with intensive Mandarin language instruction equivalent to one year of study encouraging students to forge enduring relationships with their Chinese host families.
