Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, Tempe: Situated in the heart of Tempe Arizona, close to the Arizona State University campus, Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences (CRAS) is a dedicated audio / music school that provides a Master Recording Program II to local and international students. We also provide short term music programs. Because we concentrate totally on the science and art of sound, we are able to offer what we believe is the most comprehensive audio program in the country - our Master Recording Program II. Master Recording Program II: - Duration: 48 weeks - 36 weeks training / 12 weeks internship
Our Master Recording Program II covers everything from basic principles of sound all the way up to the most sophisticated concepts of audio engineering.
Numerous certifications are included that you can add to your audio resume when applying for a job.
The program lasts 48 weeks with 36 weeks on campus in lecture and hands-on training and 12 weeks of internship. Internships are located in a major city of your choice.

- Apple Certified Logic Pro Exam – The manufacturer’s own benchmark for assessing Logic proficiency, which when passed, awards the user Apple Certified Pro status.
- Antares Auto-Tune – A two-part exam covering the technology, tools and practices of the industry’s leading vocal tuning software.
- TC Electronic M3000 – Advanced theory and application of this industry standard time-based processor.
- TC Electronic System 6000 – A two part exam covering the hardware, software and operation of this industry standard effects processor.
- Waves – A manufacturer certification covering the operation of Waves plug–ins that coincides with the software bundle included in the laptop package.
- Propellerheads’ Reason – A three day extracurricular class followed by a hands-on exam teaching practical and advanced use of the Reason audio production software.
- EAW Smaart – Certification in the theory and use of an industry standard FFT-based audio analysis tool.
- L–Acoustics Kudo– An operational certificate program training students on the theory and use of line arrays for live sound reinforcement.
- L–Acoustics Sound Vision– An operational certificate program training students on the theory and use of 3–D modeling software for speaker systems.

You can select any class that interests you, or follow our Music/Recording Industry academic certificate program. Our downtown campus is directly on the Powell Street BART and Muni lines, and close to affordable parking.
Designed for students who want to gain a solid foundation in the music business and/or recording industry, this program offers a comprehensive education in all aspects of the music business. Students choose an emphasis on either the recording arts/technology or the music business, which enables them to acquire real marketable skills to compete successfully in a fiercely intense environment.
All certificate students are required to complete a professional internship as well as a portfolio of projects such as audio engineering demos or music business and marketing plans. In addition, students can select from a number of electives and seminars for the most comprehensive music industry education in the San Francisco Bay Area. Coursework in the program may be applied toward the certificate, or individual classes may be taken to learn or update skills.
- Music/Recording Industry (MRI) academic certificate program: Choose an emphasis in either the recording arts/technology or the music business. All students must complete a professional internship.
The program can be completed in as few as two semesters; however, most students take four semesters, or two years. Evening classes are also available.

• I'm a Certified Music Educator with over 25 years of experience. I instruct beginners as well as experienced players.
• I offer instruction for acoustic guitar as well as electric guitar (steel and/or nylon string) and provide instruction in formal classical guitar, as well as popular music styles such as: rock, pop, blues, jazz, funk, soul, and more.
• I earned a Bachelor of Music Education with Magna Cum Laude Honors in 1996. I've studied classical guitar, jazz guitar, improvisation, music theory, arranging, psychology, piano, violin, recording, and much more. I have over 25 years of teaching experience. I have performed solo, in rock bands, blues and jazz combos, duos, trios, and classical guitar ensembles.
• I strive to provide a friendly, comfortable learning environment students can thrive in. I won't pressure you to play recitals in order to increase my studio size, but I will greatly encourage you to play an active role in customizing your own individual curriculum.
