Pickering College:
Pickering College is a co-educational independent day (JK-12) and boarding school (Grades 7-12) located on a beautiful 42 acre campus in Newmarket in southern Ontario, just 25 miles north of downtown Toronto. We provide boarding facilities for Canadian, American and international students. 100% of Pickering graduates go on to post-secondary education. With an enrollment of nearly 300 “day” students and almost 100 “boarders” who come from more than 20 countries around the world - Pickering College is intimate in size, yet global in perspective.
Co-educational Boarding School Programs (Grades 7-12)
Starting in Grade 7, our boarding students can enjoy a safe and supportive learning environment on campus. We offer an Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum. Various ongoing Pickering College activities help make living away from home a positive and enriching experience for the student. We organise trips and group activities. We have a “circle of care” that supports the academic and emotional well-being of students.
Grades 7 & 8:
For students in Grades 7 & 8, the emphasis is on building a foundation for lifelong learning and expectations for academic achievement are set high. Academics are balanced with a rich curriculum of competitive and recreational athletics, music, drama and visual arts. A low teacher-student ratio and small class sizes (approximately 16-18 students per class) provide an ideal environment for learning.
Grades 9-12:
Our Senior School Program prepares students for university with our university preparation program, while also encouraging them to make a difference in the world. Using the latest technology, our academic curriculum focuses on excellence and innovation while ensuring students have a solid understanding of core subjects. Our students also have opportunities to participate in activities on leadership, community service, sports and the arts.

Enhanced math, science, business studies, Canadian and world studies, history, geography, languages, ESL (English as a Second Language), humanties (world religion, psychology and philosophy), law, politics. communications technology, health and physical education, dramatic arts and visual arts.

Athletics:
All students are required to participate in our daily sports and activities programs. Our school provides active physical education and after-school programs, including both competitive and recreational sports.
