Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) is a co-educational, independent university-preparatory day and boarding school for Canadian and international students in Grades 6-12. Our campus is located in Rothesay, New Brunswick, just 10 minutes from the Port City of Saint John on the east coast of Canada. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, RNS provides arts, athletic, leadership, and community service programs, integrating technology, Outward Bound adventures, and Round Square exchanges.

Day & Boarding Programs for Boys & Girls in Grades 6-12:
The academic program at RNS is designed for students to experience courses in both the humanities and sciences. In addition to the academic rigour students experience at RNS, there is ample opportunity to develop the whole student. These opportunities exist in the arts, athletics and various other extracurricular experiences such as Outward Bound activities, student exchanges and Round Square International service projects.

- Rothesay Netherwood School has four residences on campus: Mackay House, Quinn House, Kirk House and Netherwood House. All of the residences have common areas and laundry facilities. Quinn House, Kirk House and Netherwood House have small kitchen facilities, as well.

- The experience of living in residence prepares students for university life by helping them to become more independent and organized. Students learn to live with others and they learn how to manage their time in order to lead a balanced life. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, students form very close friendships with their housemates and roommates, and these relationships last a lifetime.

- Each of the RNS residences has two Houseparent apartments. This allows our houseparents (and their families) to live with the students in residence, creating a safe, comfortable, family-like environment. Houseparents and Assistant Houseparents serve as role models and surrogate parents to our boarding students. Residences are staffed on a 24-hour-per-day, 7-day-a-week basis.
