Private English Instruction:
Individual Instruction is recommended for the busy executive with limited time for study. This special course is designed for those who wish to master the language skills needed to communicate and interact in the modern world. On the first day of classes, the student takes a placement examination to assess his/her level of English language proficiency. A unique program is then created that incorporates the student's goals, needs, and personal schedule.
Combination English Program:
Our combination Program is for students who want both individualized and group instruction. Beginner students or those with limited study time can benefit from one-on-one attention for their specific needs. Students attend four group lessons and two private lessons (instead of two elective classes).
Business English Program:
Business English courses are designed for the specific needs of managers and professionals. We can offer a variety of tailored courses with options on individual goals, length and intensity of training. Young professionals seeking higher education at US Universities can prepare with us for their TOEFL exams and preparation for MBA training.
On-Site Training (Greater Boston Area):
The Boston School of Modern Languages has offered on-site English training to businesses in the Boston area for over 80 years. Our corporate clients have found that English training improves work performance and employee interaction. It is also a benefit to the company that non-English speaking employees appreciate the employer’s involvement in offering continuing education courses. In our experience, such courses improve work skills, job satisfaction, and employee retention.
Summer Program:
Families can come to BSML together. Parents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters can all share the learning experience while building unforgettable memories.
Children's Program (ages 4-12):
Your young children will absorb English through games, songs and stories. Fun activities will introduce them to the sounds and structure of English. Each day, your child will take home things he/she has made. This early exposure to English will spark their interest and lay a foundation for future study.
English & Golf:
What is English & Golf? The American English & Golf Program was designed for those who would like the opportunity to study intensive English and play golf at a variety of beautiful greater Boston golf courses. This program combines four intensive and engaging daily classes and time to practice and play golf. Students are paired up with American golf enthusiasts who encourage conversation in English. This helps participants improve their English speaking skills both in the classroom and on the golf course.
English and Basketball:
The English and Basketball Program is a cooperative effort between the Boston School of Modern Languages and top basketball camps in the Boston Area. The partners were selected based on their outstanding sports credentials as well as the infrastructure to support foreign students.
The program has four components:
- Two weeks of Intensive English at BSML
- Two weeks of Intensive Basketball with American and Foreign Students
- Housing and Local Transportation
- Scheduled activities with other international students
