Located just 10 minutes north of Downtown Las Vegas, Shepherd School of Language (SSL) is dedicated to the teaching and learning of English as a Second Language (ESL) for adults. We provide a range of beginner to advanced level English language courses. We are a SEVP I-20-approved school that offers intensive English programs to international students, both academics and professionals alike. Each class has an average of 15 students, which gives each student the opportunity for a lot of individual interaction with the teacher. SSL has 6 Levels of instruction for developing your English Language skills. Soon after you arrive, you will be given a placement exam to determine your English language skills and your appropriate academic level. The student lounge is also equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, water fountain and small snack bar. Free fresh brewed coffee and tea are available all day.

American Collegiate English (ACE) is an intensive English language and TOEFL preparatory program located on the Grossmont Community College Campus, in El Cajon (San Diego County), California. ACE is designed for international students who need to improve their language skills to prepare for entry into US colleges. ACE provides a smooth transition to Grossmont College, which is a two-year public institution. Students may earn associate degrees and certificates in many different fields of study or may elect to transfer to a university after studying at Grossmont for two years. Grossmont has transfer agreements with the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU), both of which are but a short drive from Grossmont College.
Five eight-week sessions are offered every year. Each eight-week ACE session consists of twenty hours per week of intermediate-level English instruction in grammar, composition, oral communication, reading, vocabulary, and TOEFL iBT preparation.
