Located in the San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside County, California, Idyllwild Arts Academy is a co-educational day & boarding arts school that offers a disciplined college preparatory program for grades 9-12 and post-graduates.
High School Graduation Requirements:
Because the Arts Academy encompasses Grades 9 through 12, plus post-graduates, programs ranging from 1 to 4 years in length may be created. Each student's course of study is composed of a combination of the required arts courses listed under each program and the academic courses (credits) necessary to meet the graduation requirements.

Instruction in the arts is geared to the ability of the individual student. Advancement from preliminary courses to the most demanding is based entirely upon performance. Upon graduation students will have completed the following academic requirements:
- English 4 years (credits)
- History/Social Studies 3 years - World History, U.S. History, Government and Economics / Social Science
- Foreign Language 2 years - Consecutive courses in the same language (French or Spanish)
- Mathematics 3 years - Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
- Science 2 years - Biology and either Chemistry or Physics
- Physical Education 2 years
- Visual and Performing Arts 1 year

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18. We welcome students from California, across the United States, & students from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students).
In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.
We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.
With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.
We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.
Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

The Athenian School is a co-educational independent college preparatory school in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Sunset Bay Academy is a co-ed therapeutic boarding school located in San Ysidro, 20 miles south of San Diego, California.
