Montessori Learning Center - Ventura's instructional program is based on a scientific method of teaching developed by the well-known educator, Dr. Maria Montessori. Her observations and research lead her to discover that children have much potential in learning new concepts, especially at an early age. She also found that early education is the best preparation for a child's life. The classes consist of children ranging from two and a half to six years of age. The school faculty is made up of a director and assistant teachers.
Teacher:
The Montessori teacher observes each child in order to determine his or her needs. The teacher then works with each child, introduces especially designed and graded educational materials, serves as a role model, and provides guidance where needed. The teacher's indirect method of teaching constantly guides the child in gaining knowledge.

Our enriched environment is filled with academic and artistic fields. This environment helps to develop children’s ability to adjust to traditional schools. To obtain maximum benefit from the Montessori Educational Method, it is recommended that the child follow at least a three-year program beginning as early as 2 ½ years and remaining through age five or six.
