Yukon School of Visual Arts, Yukon Territory:
Located in the vibrant community of Dawson City in the Yukon Territory in Northern Canada, Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) is an accredited post-secondary institution. We offer a Foundation Year program that specializes in the instruction, promotion and advancement of contemporary visual arts practices from a multiplicity of cultural perspectives. This is the first year of study in a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Design degrees (BDes). Students can then transfer into a second year of study at Canada’s top art schools to complete their degrees, including Emily Carr University, Ontario College of Art & Design, NSCAD University, and the Alberta College of Art & Design.

Foundation Year Program:
Students in Foundation Year studies at the Yukon School of Visual Arts will experience an exciting, innovative and progressive program that will take them on an artistic journey and a journey of personal discovery.
A newly dedicated facility will provide students access to excellent equipment, new media technologies, and world-class instruction. The program offers an integrated holistic approach to visual art that recognizes the student as a complete individual with his/her own unique personal and cultural experiences. Students will be encouraged to explore and share their creative processes while questioning them in relation to historical and contemporary cultural movements.
Facilities:
The school is located in a 7800 square foot historic building in downtown Dawson City. This two-story structure was custom designed specifically for the needs of the foundation year program with workspaces for each student, common studio facilities, a lecture room, a media lab, indoor/outdoor common areas, a sculpture shop, a library/resource centre, a student gallery and an art supplies store. Storage areas for student projects and supplies are provided throughout the building. Laptop computers and a digital still camera are assigned to each student for use in both their academic and studio coursework, and wireless internet is available throughout the facility.
The majority of instruction occurs in an open plan studio room with individual student studio spaces situated around the perimeter of the room. Common learning areas are located throughout the building allowing for team-teaching, integrated studies and the building of community.
The SOVA campus is strategically positioned in the centre of the town with access to all amenities and service within short walking distances from the school.

Kingdom of Beauty Cosmetic Centre is conveniently located in Mississauga, in the western part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Southern Ontario. We offer a make-up artist training course that will help you to turn your passion for makeup into your dream career! This course is 10 hours in duration (5 x 2-hour sessions) and is aimed at advanced students who want to start their own freelance make-up artist business. You will learn how you can start your own full-time or part-time makeup business with next to nothing in start-up costs. Graduates can freelance offering their services to private individuals for makeup applications, special occasions and weddings.Established in 2006, Kingdom of Beauty Cosmetic Centre is owned by Maha Beyhum who decided to follow her passion and specialize in skin care and make-up artistry. Having completed a professional course in make-up artistry at Gina's school of Aesthetics and Electrolysis, she then earned a diploma in skin care at the Britain Institute (school of aesthetics and electrolysis). With extensive industry experience, you can be confident of high-quality instruction in her make-up artistry classes.
- 10-hour make-up artist training course for advanced students who wish to start their own part-time or full-time freelance business. The course consists of 5 x 2-hour sessions. You will be awarded a certificate on successful completion of the course.
