Our Institute is located in the capital of Costa Rica, San José, in the eastern part called Guadalupe, about 400 m from the State University (Universidad de Costa Rica) and 10 minutes from downtown (using the public bus). San José is situated in the interior of the country, buses leave to every part of the country from here. This makes it easy to reach the beaches, e.g. it is just a 2 hours bus ride to get to Jacó Beach. The aim of the Instituto de Español Costa Rica is to enable students to really communicate in the Spanish language. For this reason our methodology is based on a new concept of Total Immersion in the Spanish language.
All materials integrate Spanish language education in the four linguistic abilities: speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Our students can decide between small group or individual classes, or Specialized Spanish Programs.

The Spanish school in Manuel Antonio , Costa Rica was started in 1992 and is today recognized as one of the best Spanish language schools in Costa Rica. In addition to offering excellent Spanish language programs, you will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location within Costa Rica. The school itself sits on the side of a mountain overlooking the Manuel Antonio Beach Park Area and the Pacific. Classrooms are comfortable, and are situated both inside the building and outside on the comfortable patio. This school is the perfect option for those who want to get away from to the beaches and natural parks of Costa Rica, while at the same time learning Spanish.
When students arrive at the Spanish school in Manuel Antonio, they are given an oral proficiency interview to determine their level. Based on this interview, they are placed tentatively in one of six levels. Once placed in a class, students will experience the schools' total immersion methodology. Classes are conducted completely in Spanish. The school uses custom designed curriculum and text materials.
Group Classes: 4 lessons per day in class sizes of no more than 6 individuals. Average class size ranges from 4-8 students. During four lessons sessions, students participate actively in a small group environment. Each student is assured attention to their individual academic needs. If total immersion becomes a difficulty, we offer supplemental instruction in English once a week in order to clarify any doubts.

Based in Port Hadlock, Washington, Experience Mission is a Christian mission organization offering a 6 month immersion program in the Caribbean region that starts by serving in one of South Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods before volunteering abroad in Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Experience Mission also offers a mission program in Africa, that starts in the Native American Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, before travelling to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana. We currently do not provide Spanish classes as part of our program in Costa Rica.

You will experience everything from the bustling inner city to the remotest parts of the rain-forest, building authentic relationships and partnering with local leaders to create sustainable change.

Our mission programs can be divided into three areas of focus: Volunteer Mobilization, Leadership Development, and Community Empowerment. These three distinct focuses are inextricably bound and share the common purpose of spreading the love of Christ to a world in need.
Christian Mission Program (6 months):
