English Language Camps in Australia for Juniors

Kaplan International English:
Located in Cairns, Queensland on the north east coast of Australia, Kaplan International Colleges are world leaders in English language education and offer summer English courses and year-round English study tours to young children and teenagers (ages 12-17) who wish to learn English in Australia. We have more than 40 years experience in providing first-class international education with consistently high standards of teaching and student care.

Our summer English school is located in Cairns, a city in Queensland on the North-East coast of Australia. Cairns is a three hour flight from Sydney. We offer summer English classes to juniors ages 12-17.

These courses are 1 - 2 weeks long and include 15 hours of English tuition per week and a full activity program.

A more intensive ESL program is also offered. The young learners program is available for individual and group bookings.

Students are taught in international classes according to their level of English (beginner, intermediate or advanced), which is assessed upon arrival at our children's English summer school. Throughout the summer course, each student's progress is monitored by our teaching staff.

Summer Activities Program:
Each student take part in four or five activities per week during your summer English course in Cairns. One full-day excursion is also organised every other week. Children's summer activities and Cairns excursions may include:

- Walking tours:
Join a walking tour of the pretty and interesting city of Cairns and the surrounding areas.

- Beach trips:
Cairns has magnificent beaches that are perfect for hanging out on with friends. Calm, blue seas and pristine white beaches make a beautiful setting to enjoy your summer.

- Shopping:
The city has many shops for you to explore! From jewellery and fashion to food and books - Cairns' shopping district has something to entertain everyone!

- Sports:
Join in with our school organized sporting activities. Sports include football, scuba diving, swimming or cricket.

- A cultural exchange visit to local school:
Experience the real Australian school culture and meet other Australian children with an exchange trip to a local Cairns school.

International students taking our summer English courses in Cairns stay in single rooms in homestay accommodation with carefully selected Australian host families.

Free daily transport is provided to and from school. Hosts provide all meals – breakfast and dinner at home each day, lunch at home on weekends and a packed lunch to take to school during the week.

Cairns Summer School Facilities:
Children's English courses are held at Kaplan's year-round English school in Cairns, located centrally and only a short walk away from major shopping facilities.

The school offers air-conditioned classrooms with direct access to outside balconies, state-of-the-art computer room with free internet access, and an outside terrace with café.
