About Light & Life Christian School:

Life & Light Christian School is Escondido’s only non-denominational Christian school. Our families come from various local churches and denominations. A few of those churches include Emmanuel Faith, Cornerstone, Valley Center Community Church, and The Father’s House. We also have many students whose families do not attend church. We welcome children from all backgrounds.

Non-denominational Christian Educational Programs - Preschool through Grade 8:


Grades 3-8 (Oak Hill Campus)
- Our 3rd through 8th grade program integrates academics, the arts, Biblical instruction, and physical education.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade (Ash Campus)
- Students are provided with a safe and loving environment with an experienced staff that cares about each student.

Preschool - Ages 2-5 (Ash Campus)
- Our preschool strives to love and nurture children in a Christian setting.

Campus Locations:
Our 'Ash Campus' is located on North Ash Street close to downtown Escondido, and serves our preschool students and Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Our 'Oak Hill Campus' is just 5 blocks to the East, and serves students in Grades 3-8.

The Discovery Center School (DCS) is an independent, co-educational school for students in Kindergarten through to 12th grade. We are located in Northern Park, San Francisco, and are proud to serve families in Northern Park, Central North, Anza Vista, Hayes Valley, Inner Richmond, Laurel Heights, Pacific Heights and surrounding communites throughout the Bay area. Children's Village Preschool in Orange County, approximately 3 miles north of Santa Ana, is a developmental, play based preschool offering programs to children from ages 18 months to 6 years. We strive to challenge children’s creativity and to be aware and respectful of their emotional needs, and to support and facilitate their social development by providing opportunities for children to build positive self-esteem.

Our philosophy at Children's Village Preschool is based on the belief that children learn best when exposed to a challenging environment that offers a variety of meaningful hands-on activities and experiences. Our Preschool enrolls children 18 months through 6 years. Being potty trained is not a requirement.

- 1/2 day (9:00 - 12:00)
- Core Day (8:30 - 3:00)

- Extended Day (anytime 7:00 am - 6:00 pm) programs available.

- We are open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, year round with the exception of Holidays.
