2012 is the Flute School London's third year of running this exciting and inspirational non-residential flute course for players of all standards and ages. Past tutors have included Rachel Brown, Wissam Boustany, Mike Mower, Jennifer Hutchinson, Ian Mullin, Andy Findon, Camilla Hoitenga, Alexander Murray as well as Directors and resident tutors Janna Huneke, Kate Grace, Abigail Burrows and Simon Gilliver.
Flute Course includes: Masterclasses; Individual lessons; Chamber groups for all; Warm-up / technical sessions; Improvisation Workshop; Mock Audition Classes - (especially useful for those applying for music college auditions this year); Feldenkrais/Dalcroze workshop and talk on performance nerves; Specialist repair person on site to do minor repairs; Just Flutes music shop stand; try flutes, buy music etc

Language and Music For Life, Summer Music Camps in UK 2026

• Founded in 1997, Language and Music for Life (LMFL) offers a unique 2-week summer music and language courses for British & international students in North Yorkshire, England.• LMFL provides quality one-to-one training in a wide range of instruments & voice tuition to enthusiastic musicians of all levels & ages (children aged 5+, teenagers & adults). In addition, we offer English and foreign language classes in private lessons or small groups.
• Designed primarily for highly motivated musicians with a willingness to learn; enabling them to derive maximum benefit from high quality tuition, the course is open to musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions, skilled amateurs and "tourist musicians".
• Our Summer Course 2026 will be hosted by Giggleswick School, a co-educational day and boarding school in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire, England. It is accessible from all parts of the UK through excellent road, rail and air links (Approximately 380km from London, 57 km from Leeds, and 100km from Manchester. The closest international airport is Manchester International Airport, just 70 miles away, with direct flights from major cities in UK, USA & Europe).
• During the course, students can take world-recognized Trinity College London exams.
• Trinity College London provides exams & qualifications in over 60 countries, and LMFL provides our students with the opportunity to take Trinity College music qualifications.

• Musical Tuition / Masterclasses:
Individual tuition in Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano including jazz piano, Harp, Flute & Piccolo; Saxophone, Clarinet, Oboe, Brass, Guitar (acoustic & electric), & Drums. Orchestra conducting; Composition; Choir; Chamber music; Musicianship (new), Jazz ensemble.
• Singing / Vocals: Classical Singing - Vocal technique & interpretation of classical songs & arias. Opera workshop.
Jazz Singing (individual classes), Songwriting (individual lessons).
• Languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian & German. IELTS test preparation option (1 -1 or in group tuition).
