Which course is best for me?

Photo of Sound Engineering / Music Production Courses in LondonAll our certifcate courses start with a module called Music Production Essentials (or MP101). Whether you are looking for a beginner course to kick-start your career in music and sound recording, or you have already spent years teaching yourself by trial and error, the Music Production Course will give you all the tools you need to confidently record, edit, mix and master your music. We call this the 'advanced beginner course' and it's the foundation to all the Certificate and Diploma courses.

International Students:
If you are a European citizen you are entitled to study in the UK – there are no restrictions or documents required. If you’re not a UK or EU national you need a Student VISA to enrol on a course which lasts more than six months. LSS is a Highly Trusted Sponsor under Tier 4 Students – this means that non-European students can apply for a student VISA to enroll on our Diploma Course. At the moment the course fees for foreign students are the same as those for EU and UK students.

What will I learn if I take just one module?
If your time and budget are limited and if you want to make sure that youwill be producing your own music from day one you should choose the Music Production 101 course: this goes from zero (making your own beats, using instruments and effects) to semi-advanced with critical listening and arrangement (create and sustain interest), producer skills (getting the best performance from the artists you work with), understanding the process of mixing and mastering audio (to get that release quality), music business and career advice (how to get started, avoiding classic mistakes, copyright, negotiating contracts).
