Institut Parisien de Langue et de Civilisation Française:
The Institut Parisien in the centre of Paris is a private institute of higher education offering year-round French language classes suitable for all levels (beginner to advanced). Located close to the Champs Elysées and the Parc Monceau, you will find intensive French language courses, practice workshops, French culture and civilisation courses, “au pair” programs, private lessons and more. French Language Courses (For all levels from beginner to advanced):

We offer a free individual evaluation to determine your exact level (At any time, between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday).

* Special Beginner French Language Course:
Maximum of 10 students per class for effective teaching.

These lessons are designed for either complete beginners or students having a limited range of vocabulary. With a practical approach to the French language in mind, this programme is designed to stimulate oral comprehension and written expression through a structured approach to grammar, syntax and vocabulary. It is an all-round complete and lively course. Courses start on set dates and students may choose the length of their course.

20 hours or 15 hours / week or one-to-one courses.

* Intensive General French Language Course (20 / 15 hours):
• Free individual evaluation to determine your exact level
• Designed for students already having a basic knowledge of French
• Maximum of 10 students per class for optimum learning

These lessons are designed for students already having some knowledge of French. With a practical approach to learning French in mind, this programme is designed to stimulate oral comprehension and written expression through a structured approach to grammar, syntax and vocabulary. It is an all-round complete and lively course. Students may choose the length of their course.

* Intensive Conversational French Language Course (10 hours):
• Free individual evaluation to determine your exact level
• Designed for students already having a basic knowledge of French
• Maximum of 10 students per class for effective teaching

Using video documents and press articles on current events, this programme offers you above all, the opportunity to improve your fluency and ease of speech. It consists of listening exercises, role-plays, speaking practice and guided conversation. It is a lively course concentrating on oral expression, pronunciation, learning vocabulary based on French culture, way of thinking and society.

* Intensive Mixed French Language Course (25 hours):
• Free individual evaluation to determine your exact level
• Designed for students already having a basic knowledge of French
• Maximum of 10 students per class for effective teaching

This course was designed to develop your command of the French language in combining conversational lessons in the morning and general lessons in the afternoon. It brings together the teaching techniques from the conversational French programme with the teaching of syntax and grammatical structures. It is a lively and effective course to suit everyone wishing to progress rapidly in French.

* One-To-One French Language Courses:
To optimise the learning and practice of French, maintain one’s level or as a complement to group lessons, one-to-one lessons offer a tailor-made solution to meet your specific needs. The objectives and course content are defined according to your level and needs: general and business French as well as exam preparation and professional role-plays.

* French Language Practice Workshops:
• Free individual evaluation to determine your exact level
• Maximum of 8 students per class for effective teaching
• Possibility of signing up for either one or two workshops and combining them with either intensive lessons in the morning or discovery workshops.

1) Written Expression Workshop - 3 hours:
Grasping the use of nuances and acquiring writing skills

2) Phonetics Workshop - 3 hours:
Improving pronunciation and mastering the sounds of the French language

French Au Pair Programmes:
- Language course (4 hours per week)
- You can choose between either General French or Specialised French.

General French Language Course:  All levels available in the 1st term. This is a lively and dynamic programme that combines oral and written expression. It is a general language programme based on an interactive and progressive teaching method which will enable you to gain a practical and in-depth knowledge of the language. Homework in the form of practical written exercises will further reinforce what you learned in class. All homework will be corrected by your teacher.

French Culture & Civilisation Programme:
• A cultural and linguistic complement that will give you a deeper insight into the French language and its context.
• These workshops are designed for students who already have a good knowledge of French.
• Maximum of 5 students per class for effective teaching.
• Based on active student participation. Students will be expected to carry out their own research.
• Possibility of signing up for several discovery workshops and combining them with either intensive lessons or language practise workshops.
