Mission:
Our mission is to provide students with an international education which seeks to develop their full potential and to foster understanding, respect for others, freedom of thought and expression, enjoyment of learning and personal responsibility.
Values:
The International School Hamburg is committed to the principle of equality of opportunity for all of its students and to promoting an ethos of pride in achievement, of mutual cooperation and respect and of cultural and religious tolerance.
We believe that a good education is an essential preparation for life. Such an education is concerned with the growth of the whole person and the development of the full potential of students.
Learning should be stimulating, challenging and enjoyable. It should promote freedom of thought and expression, independent and critical thinking, and creativity.
All our students are encouraged to fulfill their academic potential, though success should not be judged solely by academic achievements. We believe that equal weight should be given to academic, personal and social development.
Further we believe that we are members of a community that respects the inherent dignity of every human being, values diversity, and promotes human rights for all.
