Joliet Catholic Academy:
Joliet Catholic Academy (JCA) is a co-educational Catholic college preparatory high school, co-sponsored by the Joliet Franciscan Sisters and the Carmelites of the Most Pure Heart of Mary. We are located in Joliet in Will and Kendall Counties, Illinois, approximately 40 miles south-west of Chicago. Academic excellence is one of the hallmarks of Joliet Catholic Academy; students are well prepared to attend the college of their choice after moving through JCA's education program. Our diverse curriculum helps students to achieve their maximum intellectual potential, through three academic programs: College Prep, Upper College Prep and Honors / Accelerated. Each year, we have a 100% graduation rate.
Joliet Catholic Academy is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education, accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges, and a member of the the Illinois High School Association and the East Suburban Catholic Conference.

With an enrollment over 750 and a student-teacher ratio of 16:1, personal and individualized attention is afforded to students at Joliet Catholic Academy. Currently, JCA has graduated over 21,000 alumni in the US and abroad. Our graduates have attended hundreds of colleges and universities throughout the country.
Welcoming, dedicated, knowledgeable and hardworking are qualities that describe the faculty and staff of Joliet Catholic Academy. Professional excellence is a hallmark on all levels with over 50% of the faculty holding a Master's degree and beyond. The school is very proud that 47 of the faculty/staff are alumni.

Academic Programs:
Placement is determined by evidence of the student’s prior academic performance (grades), standardized test scores and teacher recommendations.

- Honors Program: The intent of the Honors Program is to challenge academically gifted and talented students, provide them with a rigorous program to meet their needs, and encourage them to reach their full academic potential.
- Advanced Placement & Honors / Accelerated Program: Advanced Placement courses are offered to juniors and seniors in English IV, U.S. Government, Calculus, Biology, European History, U.S. History, and Chemistry.
Admission to Joliet Catholic Academy is based on placement test scores, as well as previous academic records. The application form must be completed in order for a student to be considered for admission. In addition, any student hoping to attend JCA must take the placement exam administered at JCA.
Graduation Requirements:
Students must earn 25 credits to be eligible to receive a JCA diploma. Students must earn 22 credits through required coursework. The balance (3 credits) must be earned by completing elective courses. Each student must also complete a minimum of 60 hours of Christian service.
