Lakefront Children's Academy is a full service private academy for ages two through to six years. We are conveniently located in the New East Side neighborhood in the center of Chicago, close to Millennium Park and the heart of Chicago's downtown loop.
Lakefront Children's Academy offers an enhanced curriculum and educational program featuring computer readiness, foreign language, math and reading readiness, science, library, music, art, cultural appreciation and physical education classes. 95% of our pre-kindergarten and kindergarten graduates who apply for are accepted to private, gifted and classical schools.

On-site security cameras are an added measure of protection and we are conveniently located across the street from a state of the art Park District playground. L&L Academy and Preschool is located on Clark Street in Chicago in Cook County (Just a block away from Lincoln Park Zoo), and offers daycare and preschool programs for children aged between three and six years. Our goals are to nurture and guide each child’s development physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually that will continue to evolve over a lifetime. Latin School of Chicago located adjacent to Lincoln Park on the North Side is an independent, co-educational college preparatory school for students in junior kindergarten through to grade twelve. Latin is the oldest independent school in the city of Chicago. The school was designed to provide students with a rigorous college-preparatory education in the classical tradition, with a curriculum that was heavily influenced by classical studies and the study of the Greek and Latin languages, hence the name “Latin School." The Paintbrush, Chicago

The Paintbrush, opened in 2005, is a children's art studio owned by sisters Melanie and Mindy Apel in Lakeview on the North Side of Chicago, Cook County, IL. At The Paintbrush, kids do more than just paint. Starting at 18 months old, kids learn about famous artists, listen to music and create their own inspired works of art and projects inspired by the artists' styles. The Paintbrush offers a selection of classes geared to different ages along with workshops and summer camp. Classes are ongoing, so kids can join anytime.
The mission of The Paintbrush is to introduce young children to the wonderful world of art. The main goal is to teach kids to love art and have an understanding of the artists they study and whose works inspire their own creations.
Art Classes for Children Ages 18 months to 8 years:
