Located in Carbondale in southern Illinois, Brehm School is a fully accredited, co-ed boarding school for students with learning disabilities offering grades 6-12. International Students with Learning Disabilities:
Brehm School has long valued the diversity that international students bring to our campus. Since 1982, Brehm has welcomed students with learning disabilities from diverse areas of the world. Brehm’s Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) can issue an I-20 to those students wishing to enroll at Brehm.

The school is approved by the International Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and is a certified Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) school.

Residential Life:

Residential life is an integral part of Brehm’s education. Brehm’s daily structure allows students to feel more confident and comfortable with how each day will unfold, which is the foundation of our decades of success.

Students begin their “home away from home” daily routine with a family style breakfast, followed by school and recreational activities. Dinner time means a healthy dinner in the dining hall, then chores, free time, study hall, and one more period of free time followed by lights out. There are 3 boys dorms and 2 girls dorms. Each students is supervised by two dorm parents and multiple assistants.

Salem4youth Therapeutic Christian Boarding School

Based in Flanagan, Illinois, Salem4youth is a Christian Therapeutic Boarding School for troubled boys and young men in Grades 3-12.

We offer an educational program that is specifically structured to support the supervision and training of students that have special challenges.

These challenges can include emotional and behavioral problems, learning difficulties, lack of motivation and other difficulties that may be the result of self-harming or other detrimental behaviors, including drug and alcohol use. As a Christian Boarding School, our therapy is Biblical-based.

We combine our educational program with equine therapy. Using horses therapeutically and vocationally, boys receive riding instructions and are given the responsibility to care for the horses.
