Intensive English:
The Intensive Course is designed to provide a thorough knowledge of general English at all levels. The course covers the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and is especially programmed to improve communication skills in spoken and written English. We place great importance on oral communication in the classroom, and course books and supplementary materials are interesting and stimulating. Two teachers are responsible for each programme and regular progress tests are built into the syllabus.

Hours: 20 Hours’ Group Tuition
9.00am - 1.15pm
(Break: 11.00am - 11.15am).

Minimum Course Duration: Two weeks
Age Group: The Intensive Course is designed for students aged 18+. The average age is 25.
Average Number of Students Per Class: 10
Maximum Class Size: 14.
Levels: All levels available from beginner to advanced. There are fixed dates for complete beginners.

Combined English:
The Combined Course is designed to provide a thorough knowledge of general English combined with a focus on particular areas of interest or learning weakness for the individual student.

In the Combined Course, students take the Intensive English course in the morning followed by one hour of individual tuition in the afternoon.

Hours: 20 Hours' General Group Tuition PLUS 5 Hours’ Individual Tuition
9.00am - 1.15pm
(Break: 11.00am - 11.15am)
Afternoons: 5 hours of individual tuition per week

Minimum Course Duration: Two weeks
Age Group: The Combined Course designed for students aged 18+.
Average Number of Students Per Class: 10 (Depending on the time of year).

Business English:
The Intensive Plus Business Course offers 26 hours of tuition weekly. The morning lessons are the same as those offered in the Intensive Course. This course is designed for students who want to concentrate on Business English in a small group. The emphasis in the afternoon lessons is on improving students' communication skills in a business context. The minimum level of English required for this course is Intermediate.

Examination Preparation for TOEFL/IELTS:
The Intensive Plus Examination Course is designed for students who wish to supplement their General English Course with extra classes to prepare for the TOEFL or IELTS examinations in small groups in the afternoon. The minimum level of English required for participation in this course is Intermediate and the examination fee is not included in the course fee.

Cambridge Examination Preparation Course:
The Cambridge Examination Course is designed to prepare students for one of the following examinations: First Certificate, Advanced Certificate, and Certificate of Proficiency.

Courses are run subject to a minimum number of 6 bookings for each level. Students should begin their course 12 weeks prior to the examination dates in mid June and mid December. We also run a 10-week course beginning in January for the First CertificaPhotos of Emerald Cultural Institute, Dublinte Examination held in March. We cannot accept students for any examination course until we have confirmed that they are at an appropriate level to join the class.

First Certificate Examination - Cambridge:
This special four-week intensive Cambridge Examination Course is designed to prepare students planning to or interested in taking the First Certificate Examination. The fee for this course includes 20 hours tuition and one afternoon session in the final week focusing on giving students essential skills to sit the examination.

Private English Tuition:

This course is designed for students who need intensive English language training and who feel that a one-to-one approach is a more effective learning method for them. Programmes are tailor-made to suit an individual's needs and up to eight hours' tuition per day is available. The number of private classes and the learning areas to be covered during the programme can be arranged in advance or may be worked out directly with the course tutors on the first day.

Supplementary materials are interesting and innovative and designed to suit your needs.

Hours: Tailor-made timetable can be agreed between the student and his/her teacher.

Minimum Course Duration: None
Levels: Individual tuition is offered at all levels, from complete beginner to advanced, on a year-round basis. Students can begin their course on any weekday.

Specialised English:
Our specialised courses are divided into three separate categories each of which is described in this section. These are:

* Professional and Technical English
* Training Through English

Each of our specialised courses is designed to match the particular requirements of the specialist area in question. Each course focuses on improving students' use of English and communicative skills in specific, work-related situations, e.g. law, medicine, computers, management, accountancy, marketing, quality control, tourism and teaching.

International Summer School - Galway
Courses / Programs
The International Summer School at National University of Ireland, Galway offers a number of English Language Summer courses – General English at Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency Levels and Business and Executive English. These courses are not designed for beginners. Students must be 18 years or over, and must already have at least elementary standard. Studying in Galway will give students an opportunity to improve their English in the attractive environment of the West of Ireland. Classes will be restricted in size appropriate to intensive English language tuition. The courses are structured to cover grammar, conversation/culture and listening comprehension. Student participation is encouraged through topic-based communicative activities - debates, discussions, role- play, reports and presentation on such topics as modern society; the media, advertising, politics, the arts, etc. On-campus accommodation is available.
