Emerald Cultural Institute:
The Emerald Cultural Institute was established in 1986 in Rathgar in southern Dublin, Ireland and has established a world-wide reputation as a leading English language school. Leading Irish playwrights include Goldsmith, Shaw, Synge, O'Casey and Beckett. Irish pubs are famous throughout the world and the Irish music scene is a very lively and exciting one.
Getting here:
Dublin Airport is situated to the north of the city and serves a major network of international airlines, with direct flights, both scheduled and chartered, from all major European cities. Connections are frequent and regular to all parts of the world. An express bus runs from the city centre to the airport in approx. 20 mins.
Tram:
A light rail transport system (LUAS) has been operating in Dublin since June 2004. Our year-round centre in Palmerston Park, and our summer center, St Raphaela’s School in Stillorgan, are both ideally situated near the Green LUAS Line to the city centre. Both Milltown and Cowper stations are approximately a five-minute walk from our year-round center in Palmerston Park.
Dublin Bus:
The number 16A bus runs from Dublin airport through the city centre to the southside of Dublin. Student Travel tickets are available to students who present their Emerald Cultural Institute student card at the Dublin Bus Office. This ticket allows unlimited travel on the bus and DART (commuter train) in the greater Dublin area.
