Italian Language Courses in Sardinia, Italy

Mariposa:
Mariposa is a high quality Italian language school offering tailored Italian language courses to students worldwide, from the age of 14 years upwards. Our small language school is located in Castiadas, a village on the south-east coast of Sardinia (one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea), approximately 35 km east of Cagliari. Mariposa is also just a short distance away from Castiadas's main sandy beaches and the mountains. We have Italian courses for adults & teenagers at various levels with diverse courses for groups / private lessons, as well as holiday / vacation packages for individuals & families.

Italian Language Courses:

We offer year-round Italian language courses for all levels from beginner to advanced from age 14 years upwards. Classes start every Monday and students can book a minimum of one week.

- General Italian Language Classes (20 Hours / Week):
This course runs from Monday to Friday. We work with a coursebook during these classes, concentrating on the four main skills: Speaking, listening, reading and writing. As well as these four main skills, we will also work on other key areas to help develop your fluency and accuracy - pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and idioms. Lessons are delivered using a combination of activities - pair and group work, discussions, role plays, controlled reading and writing exercises.

- General Italian Language Classes Plus Cookery Course (25 Hours / Week):
Students who are passionate about cooking can now take advantage of this unique course and combine morning lessons with afternoon or evening cooking lessons.
 
- General Italian Language Classes Plus Italian & Sardinian Culture Course:
Minimum level - intermediate (20 hours / week). This course explores various aspects of Italian culture with a particular focus on the spoken language, and is designed for students who wish  to learn more about the history of the language, Italian literature and Italian dialects.

- Business Italian Language Classes:
Minimum level - intermediate (20 hours / week). Ideal for those who want to develop their Italian for business purposes. We cover all the skills but focus more on speaking and listening. Emphasis is placed on communication tasks which give you the opportunity to practice fluency and build confidence in business situations.
 
- Homestay Program With A Local Italian Family:
Live locally with an Italian family and totally immerse yourself in the language and culture.

Additionally:

- Extra-curricular activities:  Mariposa has a wide selection of activities and cultural tours available that allows students to learn the Italian and Sardinian way of life during his / her stay in Sardinia.

- Holiday / vacation packages and short break packages (For individuals & families):  Mariposa provides on an all-inclusive vacation package - tuition, accommodation, sports, many cultural and social activities and tours are included in the course price. Short breaks are ideal for those who wish to learn the language quickly and wish to incorporate a flexible lesson schedule. Lessons are on a one-to-one basis and the schedule is flexible:  It can be morning, afternoon or evening, dependent on your requirements. Mariposa also offers crash weekend courses over two days.
