Italian Courses in Milan:
Our courses focus on integrating the most important skills when learning a language: speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. The most up-to-date books as well as authentic material such as magazines videos and newspapers are used to make the course stimulating and interesting.

All levels are available from beginners to advanced. Students who are not beginners will be asked to complete a test before their arrival. On the first Monday morning our friendly staff will give a welcome presentation and then all students will join their lessons. An End of Course Certificate showing the number of hours taken and the level reached will be awarded on the last day.

Group Courses:
Our morning group courses run all year round. They include the unique “special Friday lessons” opportunity, every Friday at 11.30.

They are a stimulating practice programme to make Milan part of the learning experience. Students prepare the activities in class with the help of pictures, texts and specific tasks, that they will have to complete in pairs and groups at the chosen location, with the help of their teachers. Locations include Palazzo Reale, IED Design and Moda Lab, Univerisity of Milano, Sozzani Art Gallery in 10 Corso Como, Castello Sforzesco and many more.

“Special Friday lessons” also include treasure hunts, quizzes and games!

Standard Italian:
This course is ideal for students who can dedicate themselves completely to studying Italian

* 20 lessons per week

(15 min break, 11.30 - 11.45)

Intensive Italian:
This course combines the Standard Course with the benefit of 8 extra lessons per week in the afternoon, during which students focus on project work and specific aspects such as conversation, pronunciation, grammar, listening, vocabulary and Internet research.

* Mon-Fri: 10.00 - 13.15
(15 min break, 11.30 - 11.45)
* Mon-Tue-Wed-Thurs: 14.30 - 16.00

Exectutive Italian:
The corporate courses organised by International House Milano are tailored to the specific needs of the customer. They are aimed at clients who need to improve their level of Italian in a short period of time and might have to use Italian in their work. They are ideal for clients from a particular profession or field.

Before the course start, a detailed needs-analysis and a language test are taken to identify the language needs and level. The aim is to make the course as effective and successful as possible.

Lessons can be taken at our Executive Centre or in-company. The course can follow a General Italian programme.

Alternatively, it can cover a Professional Italian programme, focusing on such areas as:

Italian for Fashion & Design:
This course is organised by International House Milan in collaboration with IED-Istituto Europeo di Design, the most important private school for design, fashion, visual art and communication in Europe.

It is ideal for those students who wish to combine an Italian language and cultural experience with one of IED's programmes in Milan.

The course concentrates on the study of the Italian language , and develops the skills of listening, writing, grammar and most of all speaking and communication. At the same time, it focuses on tailor-made lessons created to meet the language needs of students and professionals of the Fashion&Design industry. It is suitable for learners at all levels, including those with no previous knowledge of Italian.

It is the perfect course to combine with IED Summer Courses, and an ideal start for those choosing the Three Year Undergraduate Courses.
