Discovery International School in Nagoya, Japan provides Reggio Emilia inspired, play-oriented educational programs in English for preschoolers and afternoon elementary students of all nationalities. Our programs are guided by modern international research on childhood development and language acquisition. Children at Discovery partner with peers and teachers to engage in deep, subject-integrated learning projects which stem from children's play interests and questions.

We offer the following programs to children of all nationalities:

Day Preschool:
M-F 9:00~
Ages 2 & up.
Full day care also available from 8:00~6:00 pm.
Small class sizes.
Individualized support for all areas of development, including English language and literacy.
Integrated learning projects rooted in play experiences.
In school and online documentation of learning processes.

Kinder After Ages 4 - 6:
M, W, F 3:15 ~ 4:45
For non-English speakers attending Japanese preschools.
Attend 1, 2, or 3 times a week.
Small class sizes.
Individualized support for all areas of development, including English language and literacy.
Project-based learning with documentation.

After Grads Elementary Grades 1 - 3:
T, TH  4:15 ~ 6:15
For fluent English speakers attending Japanese elementary schools (foreign residents, returnees, English preschool graduates, etc).
Attend 1 or 2 times a week.
Small class sizes.
Individualized support for English language and literacy learning.
