Chance School:

Accreditation:
Chance School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), a membership organization of more than 200 independent schools from 15 states within the Midwest region. Chance School is incorporating the guidelines of the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAECP), a division of The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators.
Our Rich History:
1953 marked the opening of a unique nursery school – the first of its kind in Louisville, Kentucky. The school was operated by Virginia Thomas Chance, a distinguished educator with a progressive approach to education. After just six years, a group of students’ parents recruited Mrs. Chance to become the director of a new non-profit, parent-sponsored, independent school for young children; what is now known as Chance School.
Through the constant support and commitment of those who strongly believe in the Chance philosophy, what started as a small school with a big idea is now an established, fully accredited school, serving up to 250 students from age two through the fifth grade.
Learning Through Discovery:
Children are naturally curious and are motivated by their own desire to make sense of their world. We welcome these rich and wonderful qualities in our classrooms. At Chance, we know that when their curiosity is encouraged and effectively channeled in school, children become eager learners.

Academy for Individual Excellence

The Academy for Individual Excellence, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is a family oriented private co-ed school offering educational services for students of pre-school age through 12 Grade. The school’s capacity is five hundred and serves both male and female. The population of the Academy is comprised of students with a variety of needs and from a variety of backgrounds. The Academy began as a preschool and, by adding a grade level each year, has grown to its present state. The Director/Principal holds a Bachelor’s degree in education (1-8) and a Masters of Education with an emphasis on Curriculum. Faculty and staff have degrees in education and/or are experienced in their field of expertise. Faculty and staff training sessions in the areas of philosophy and methodology that are specific to the Academy remain ongoing in an effort to support continuity in the program.

Stephen Collins Foster Summer Music Camps, Richmond KY

Situated on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, Stephen Collins Foster Summer Music Camps provide a wide range of band, strings, percussion, and vocal camps for musically-talented middle and high school students. Our camps provide outstanding musical and social experiences to young musicians of the Kentucky Commonwealth and the nation.
All campers will be housed in one of the Residence Halls on the Eastern Kentucky University Campus. Carefully selected counselors will be present at all times to supervise the activity of the students. Two students will be housed in each room.

We are a family owned childcare center offering programs for infants from six weeks to four year olds. We are licensed by the state of Kentucky and are recognized by the STARS for Kids Now Organization.
