Madrid PLUS:
Madrid PLUS is a private school offering year-round Spanish language courses for all levels from beginner to advanced. Our school is located on la Calle Arenal (Arenal Road) in the city centre, two minutes from the Puerta del Sol, known as "kilometer 0" of Spain. We opened in 1990 and since then we have catered to over 2000 students from all over the world.
Spanish Language Diploma Courses:
The class size is between 6 and 10 students, so there is plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and to know your fellow students better. There are four different levels and five sub levels. Beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced. We are adapting our levels to the European Reference Frame, so that we can offer levels from A1 to C1.
Students can join a course every Monday, after having taken the test (oral and written) to place them in the appropriate level. The evening courses are two days a week (Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday). They are for one hour and a half every day, and in total three hours per week. Private classes can be arranged to fit in with the student.
We prepare the students for realistic situations using dialogue, interviews, and representative situations, through which the students improve their vocabulary, grammar and understanding of the language.
Spanish Language Standard Course:
This course consists of four lessons of 45 minutes a day, 15 hours a week (Monday to Friday). It is possible to choose between classes of Vocabulary and Grammar (from 09:00 to 12:30), or classes of grammar and conversation (from 11:00 to 14:30) with a break of 30 minutes. For beginners the first option is recommended.
Spanish Language Plus Course:
This course consists of two lessons of 45 minutes a day Grammar class, seven and a half hours a week (Monday to Friday). Classes take place daily from 11:00 to 12:30. It is possible to choose also conversation or vocabulary class, if students are not beginners.
Intensive Spanish Language Course:
This course offers six lessons of 45 minutes a day, 22,5 hours a week (Monday to Friday). The normal time of this course is 09:00 to 14:30, with two breaks of 30 minutes. Combinations are possible between the standard and plus courses. For example, students could begin with the intensive course for a week and then continue with the Standard.
One-to-one / Private Spanish Language Classes:
This is the most suitable method and to learn the maximum Spanish in the least time possible. The student decides the intensity and chooses the number of lessons depending on personal effort and dedication.
The content of these lessons is tailored to the students needs.
Private classes can always be taken in combination with group courses. For example, students can combine the standard course with a couple of hours of private tuition.
Spanish Language Exam Preparation Courses:
DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language):
The DELE examinations are the official diplomas of Spanish as a foreign language as recognized by the Spanish minister of Education and by the Institute of Cervantes in corporation with the University of Salamanca. This certificate is recognized and accredited internationally.
Spanish Language Evening Classes:
Generally these are designed for people who live, work or study in Madrid and have a special timetable. The course begins when there are more than three students at the same level. The time of classes is from 19:00 to 20:30 two days a week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday).
Homestay Program with a Local Spanish Family:
Learn the Spanish language and culture through immersion by living locally with a Spanish family. Living with a Spanish family increases the participation in day to day Spanish life, food and culture.
Spanish Language Course for Business:
This course consists of the four lessons a day of the Standard course plus 2 more lessons of Spanish for business. These additional lessons will dedicate special attention to the redaction of Commercial letters, communication in the company, specialized Vocabulary in Economy, Commerce, etc.
