Founded in 1998, CCM originally operated under the name "Pasadena International Music Academy." In 2007, PIMA became CCM under the supervision of Grammy Award-winning recording engineer Reggie Dozier and legendary trombonist Wayne Henderson, founder of the Jazz Crusaders.
CCM is known for its nurturing environment. Courses are taught by a distinguished faculty of highly-acclaimed music industry professionals who will help you develop discipline, technical skills, theoretical knowledge, versatility, and a confident attitude. Location and Facilities:
California College of Music is located in a newly renovated 5,650 square foot conservatory style facility at 42 South Catalina Avenue, in the heart of Pasadena, California, near the corner of Lake Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Pasadena is just minutes from the music industry's center in Hollywood and Burbank. We are conveniently situated near the 210, 134, and 110 freeways, as well as the Gold Line Metro Rail, with access to all major destinations in Los Angeles.
We are located in the heart of Pasadena, one of the oldest cities in the Los Angeles area, 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from Hollywood. Pasadena's historic and madern architecture, theaters, malls, clubs and parks provide a perfect balance between an active lifestyle and inspirational places of seclusion.

After one mile, turn LEFT on Lake Ave. After one-third of a mile, turn RIGHT on Green St . The second street is Catalina Ave ; turn LEFT and CCM is located on your right hand side.
If you are coming from the WEST: Take the 134 FWY EAST, and once in Pasadena merge onto the 210 FWY EAST. Exit Lake Ave , and turn RIGHT onto Lake Ave. At Colorado Blvd , turn LEFT. The second street is Catalina Ave ; turn RIGHT and CCM is located on your left hand side.
If you are coming from the EAST: Take the 210 FWY WEST. Exit Hill Ave , and turn LEFT onto Hill Ave. At Colorado Blvd , turn RIGHT. At Catalina Ave ; turn LEFT, and CCM is located on your left hand side.
