SAE Institute, New York City:
SAE Institute is located in Manhattan, New York CIty. It was established as The School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in 1976 by engineer / producer Tom Misner, who in doing so developed the world's first combined practical and theoretical curriculum in audio engineering. Over the past three decades, SAE has developed into a world-wide network of campuses, boasting some of the most advanced equipment and facilities available to students studying in the creative media industries. We offer a certificate program in Electronic Music Production and a diploma program in Audio Technology. SAE Institute arrived in the United States in 1999, its first campus in mid-town New York City. SAE quickly added campuses in Nashville and Miami, followed by Los Angeles, Atlanta, and the most recent location in San Francisco.
SAE Worldwide provides access to five different levels of study to suit every students' needs. SAE campuses in the U.S. currently provide education up to the Diploma level, and all credits earned at any SAE in the world apply towards the SAE Degree.
SAE's Certificate programs are ideal for hobbyists as a foundation for further learning. These programs are also delivered in flexible, part-time formats that allow students who may be working to study with SAE. Our certificate programs are avocational, and upon completion do not include job placement assistance.
SAE's Diploma programs have received industry and academic acclaim for over nearly 30 years across the globe. These intensive programs are the foundation of every SAE qualification and offer high-level, hands-on practical training in combination with advanced theoretical study. This powerful combination provides our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the competitive creative media industries as well as equipping graduates for further study to degree level outside the U.S.
