Quantize Music Production Courses, London:
Quantize Music Production is a London based course that focuses on bespoke, one to one training, centered around Ableton Live. The courses are designed to identify and focus on the unique goals of each individual, concentrating on specific areas that will improve both creativity and musical output. Additional there is a focus on Workflow, Motivation and Inspiration with the aim of increasing students productivity and most importantly enjoyment of the music making process.
The two day course targets key areas of music production and is primarily created for students with little or no experience who want to learn all aspects of production from the initial conception of an idea right through to he mixing and mastering phase. Beyond this the course is essentially bespoke for each student, with individuals requirements being discussed via email and telephone ahead of actually arriving at the studio. This saves valuable course time and ensures that time in the studio is structured to meet the students specific requirements. Students are welcome to bring their own tracks to work on, create a new track from the ground up or disect any of the tutors released material for ideas, tips and techniques. The end goal for us is to see every student walk away from the course feeling that every minute was of value to them with the confidence to create and finish tracks in their genre of choice.
All courses are run from a purpose built, acoustically treated studio based in London using Ableton Live as the core software package. In additiion to this there are numerous high end synths such as the Access Virus and Novation Supernova complemented by high quality, 3rd party software instruments and effects. This set up is curently being used to produce a number of dance tracks that are being released on the major download sites today.
Course Tutor Keith Mills has been involved in the music scene for the last 15 years and experienced dance music in the UK in all of its guises. He has played at many of London’s largest clubs and enjoyed success in the international scene. Whilst touring Brazil Keith was given the privilege of playing the first dance music show of 2007 for Radio Transamerica, the largest terrestrial station in South America.
In 2004 Keith earned a distinction and ‘best in year’ from The London Music School on their highly regarded sound engineering and production course and has attended various courses covering advanced music theory and composition.
With significant experience in producing music with Ableton Live and a background involving both music software tutoring at a well known college in London and mentoring high calibur individuals in a corporate environment, Keith makes the ideal candidate to help students achieve their musical goals.
