Auckland International College:
Established in 2003, Auckland International College is a New Zealand independent day and boarding school which offers a specialised 3-year senior secondary school education. The specific focus of the school is to prepare students for entry to top universities worldwide. As an IB World School it is the only NZ school to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma exclusively.
IB Diploma Programme (Year 12 & 13):
The IB Diploma Programme was created to provide a high school leaving qualification which would enable students to gain entry into universities throughout the world. It is a demanding course designed for able students aged 16-19 years. While highly academic, the programme aims to educate the whole person, helping students to become independent, caring and critical thinkers. Through the ‘CAS’ programme, all students must give their time to provide service to others in the community.
Student performance is graded according to criteria which are moderated internationally and consistent across all IB schools throughout the world. The broad concept of the IB curriculum ensures that students develop a well-rounded understanding, with each student selecting one subject from each of the groups shown in the hexagon diagram below.
Preparation Year Programme for IB Diploma (Year 11):
- Designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed for the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13
- Each student studies all subject areas in order to be able to make an informed and appropriate choice of subjects for the IB Diploma
- The programme consists of Literature, Language ( either Japanese, Chinese, French or English), Sciences, Mathematics, Global Studies (Economics, History and Geography), Computer Science, Art, Creativity Service and Health, Research Project and SAT Preparation.
PSAT, SAT & ACT Testing:
At AIC we understand how important standardised tests (PSAT/SAT/ACT) can be when applying to universities in the United States. We provide advice and assistance with SAT preparation, and we make practice tests available for students who want to gain experience in test-like conditions.
Our university entrance preparation programme offers specialist university counsellors, SAT preparation and interview coaching, giving AIC students the best preparation for the top universities. Our students have the additional advantage of going to a school that is also a test centre for the PSAT and four of the seven possible SAT test dates. We are also Auckland’s only ACT test centre.

Longburn Adventist College (LAC) is a Christian school with Christian family values. We provide a comprehensive programme for Year 7 to 13 within an integrated co-educational day and boarding school setting.Established in 1908, it is a state integrated school offering Christian education to intermediate and senior aged students from age 12 to 18 (junior secondary to Year 13 high school). Moffats is a family-owned, co-educational independent day and boarding school in England that caters for the needs of boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13. The school is located in its own beautiful 100-acre estate in the south of rural Shropshire on the Shropshire-Worcestershire border, within easy daily travelling distance of Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Kidderminster. At Moffats, boarding is for children 7-13 years of age, and there is always something going on. Moffats is a true boarding school in the traditional sense. We offer a flexible range of daily, weekly and full boarding services, which cover all the things that parents would normally provide if they were at hand, including medical care, clothing, shoes and more.
Boarders’ bedrooms, in the upper two floors of the main house, are shared by small groups of children of similar age. A matron is always on call for all children during the school day, and a duty matron sleeps in every night. Otaki College

Otaki College is a small (450 students), rural, multicultural school, uniformed, coeducational school which takes students from Year 7 to Year 13. It is a very friendly, safe school where there is a lot of contact between students, staff and the Otaki community.
International students live with local families, many of whom have their own children attending school.
Otaki is one hour north of Wellington and is situated between the mountains and the sea, and near a beautiful, clean river.
Facilities at the college include a library, science laboratories, computer network, performing arts centre (music, drama and dance), technology workshops (wood, metal, clothing, food), art room, swimming pool, two gymnasia, tennis courts, and sports field.
Otaki College provides a caring environment which International students find welcoming and inclusive. Students join mainstream classes with Kiwi students and are then offered specialist English Language classes.
