Otaki College is a Year 7 to 13 co-educational college situated in sunny Otaki, about 50 mins north of Wellington, on the Kapiti coast. Otaki has a roll of approximately 600, a large proportion of this being made up of our very successful intermediate school. Rangi Ruru Girls' School is one of New Zealand's top achieving schools, offering independent Intermediate (Year 7 and 8) and Secondary (Years 9 to 13) education for Day and Boarding students. New Zealand's national qualification for secondary school learners is the National Certificate of Educational Achievement - NCEA. Internatonal students are welcome. International students who do not have English as their first language will usually be asked to sit an assessment test in Christchurch, to determine whether they are ready to study in mainstream classes.
