Located in Waynesboro (between Staunton and Charlottesville), an independent city located within the confines of Augusta County, Virginia, Fishburne Military School is a military boarding school for boys in grades 7-12. For 130 years, Fishburne Military School has aided young men to reach their full potential as scholars, athletes and individuals. Here, students develop lifelong skills in leadership and self-discipline. By virtue of our distinguished Leadership Training Program (FLTP) as part of recognized JROTC Cadet Program, FMS nominates qualified seniors to U.S. Military Service Academies.

In addition Fishburne offers students a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with college prepartion courses such as SAT and ACT as well as AP courses. Our instructors are committed to every cadet's success. FMS graduates' enjoy a 100 percent college acceptance standard, attending many of the best universities in the U.S. We are faccredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Listed on the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places since 1984, Fishburne Military School can be found at 38n04, 78w53, and is located just off of Interstate 64 between Staunton and Charlottesville, Virginia.

Cadet Life:
Within the barracks with modern dorm facilities, cadets learn and grow under the 24-hour supervision of the staff. Fishburne offers a structured and caring environment for young men.

Close supervision of all facets of cadet life by this department promotes health and safety throughout the barracks. Attention to detail is constantly reinforced to cadets, fostering responsibility for their actions and pride in their accomplishments as well as in the accomplishments of the entire Corps of Cadets.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Virginia and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.
