International Pre-University College, Johannesburg:
Located in Randburg, just 15km North of downtown Johannesburg, The Pre-University College is a University of Cambridge International Examinations Centre (and boarding school) offering IGCSE, AS and A Level courses to domestic and international students. We also provide Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers and Trainers (CICTT) and Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT). We admit students from Grade 8 onwards.
International Pre-University College aims to:
- Provide a Pre-University program which is world class and at the leading edge of international educational trends.
- Provide young people with skills essential to enable them to cope with tertiary studies. There is a particular emphasis on enhancing Mathematics, Science, Language and Business skills.
- Provide an education to broaden the educational experiences of each student.

International Atmosphere:
Students from as many as 20 countries have completed their Cambridge A Level studies in our centre. Many of these students have qualified for Matriculation exemption which has enabled them to complete their studies either at South African Universities or abroad.
Some of our past students who have achieved good grades in full A levels have been awarded advanced credits in certain courses at Universities in South Africa and The United States of America.
Boarding / Homestay Option:
The college is unique as it continues to attract students from many different countries and backgrounds. This has become possible due to the fact that we can provide boarding for students. Our Homestay program has grown into a unique and up-market facility.
We offer a unique educational experience and a packed academic program which provides students with skills, direction and qualifications that allow our students to beat the high university drop-out rate.

- Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. It is part of the Cambridge Secondary 2 stage.

- Cambridge International AS and A Levels are internationally benchmarked qualifications providing excellent preparation for university education.

Charter College is a private Cambridge-registered high school in Roodepoort in Johannesburg, Gauteng, offering Grade 8 to AS-Levels. We are also a registered Cambridge International Examination Centre. We follow the Cambridge curriculum. Students undertake their IGCSE / O-levels in Year 10 / 11 and their AS / A-levels in Years 11 and 12. The Cape Town School of English is a Language school in Cape Town specialising in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) since 1991. We offer an internationally recognised Certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in Cape Town and other centres throughout South Africa. We have trained TEFL teachers on an ongoing basis for 16 years and are well established in the TEFL Training field. We require that all applicants have English first language proficiency and tertiary education or work experience. Accent and use of English is very important if you wish to compete in an International TEFL environment.
Educational, psychological and linguistic theory is reviewed where relevant but the focus is more practical than theoretical; after all, it is not the knowledge we are after but the skill. We are now offering a Distance Learning TEFL course with online support.
