Camphill Special School is a non-profit private Waldorf school located in Glenmoore, Chester County, PA. We offer residential and day academic and prevocational programs, as well as therapeutic care, for children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in kindergarten through grade twelve. We also offer a Transition Program for young people aged eighteen to twenty-one which prepares them for adult life.

Our students have disabilities that may include, but are not restricted to, mental retardation (MR), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Fragile X Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, and other syndromes associated with intellectual disability.

Camphill Special School is part of the worldwide Camphill Movement and the only Camphill community in North America for children, as well as the only Waldorf school in the country for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The majority of Center School classroom teachers are master's-educated, certified reading specialists.

All our staff have been trained by Schools Attuned. Most students use school district buses to travel to and from Center School. Typically, school districts will provide transportation if their boundaries are within ten miles of Center School.
